ENTER THE RETRO ROOM
For a while now we have been happy to not draw attention to our retro room, but after watching a video on YouTube, we got inspired to create our own version of the entrance to our Retro Room and here are the results.

Introduction
We follow alot of retro channel creators on YouTube but we never miss any content created by RETRO RECIPES
The show is hosted by Perifractic and the rest of the Fractics who take us on a very nostalgic journey into days gone by with amazing content and a very entertaining show.

In addition to the Retro side of things Perifractic has recently added some amazing Knight Rider content to his channel which is out of this world. Take a look today, and Subscribe or even better become a patreon to help support more content in the future.
Perifractic posted a video short and during this video, Perifractic reveled that the RetroRecipes room door was not as it appeared and decided to create the perfect way to enter the room. View the video.
This inspired me to create my own version to our retro room.

But that’s not all. What about effects?
I thought I could take it to the next level if I could create a solution where the light would flash when the Tardis is landing along with the sound effect and music.
I looked online for solutions, but nothing exisited, so I looked at what bits and pieces I had and ordered some missing bits and got to work on creating the magic box.
Once the button is switched to on, it powers the tardis light and also plays the tardis sound.
See and hear the door in action & take the retro tour.

September Update: Retro Arcade
Summary
I have really enjoyed my Retro Room project which has been such a worthwhile undertaking.
I now have a large collection of equipment that I have used during my lifetime and provides so many happy memories and a reminder of how things used to be.
Adding the new entrance design is a great start to a nostalgia trip back to better days where technology changed so fast it would make your head spin.
In addition to the Tardis door, I also added a Retro Arcade section by making it a feature wall where I can play 1000’s of games from every console and system from the 80’s right upto today.
